There is a scare in Taiwan on food products, drinks and supplements/meds contaminated with banned plasticiser di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is a cost effective general purpose plasticiser which is used mainly for making PVC soft and pliable. In Western Europe it accounts for about 18% of all plasticiser usage. It is also known as di-octyl phthalate (DOP).
There are a lot of cheap imported food, drinks, supplements and other products in the market today from china and taiwan, are they safe or contaminated with DEHP. DEHP is linked to cause cancer and deformities.
Mahilig ka ba sa products from china/taiwan na hindi dumaan sa BFAD approval?
