Canon GENERIC "S" SERIES RESET CODE
Waste Ink Counter Reset.
(1) Turn off the printer.
(2) Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button.
(3) Release the RESUME button, Next press and release the RESUME button two(2) more times in
succession. Note: you are still holding the POWER button). The printer's carriage will "reset"
or move momentarily. If the above was properly performed the printer will enter the
"Service Mode".
(4) Press the RESUME button 4 times, this will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp
will alternate (change) color with each key press.
1. Service/Factory test printout, including ink sensor check.
2. EEPROM - Info printout.
3. EEPROM - Initialization.
4. Reset the Waste ink counter.
5. Printer model setting. (More selections beyond this point - However it is best leave them unaltered - You have been warned!)
After selecting the desired mode (eg 4), press the POWER button to "set" the change, and return to the top of the function selection menu. Press the POWER button again to restart the printer.

Waste Ink Counter Reset Manual for Service mode
1. Turn off the printer. And disconnect the printer cable.
2. Press and hold the POWER button, turn on the printer.
3. The indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
4. Press and release the RESUME button , the indicator (L.E.D.) should be orange.
5. Press and release the RESUME button again, the indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
6. Release both buttons.

Step 1 : Manual Temporary
1. Unplug power and USB.
2. Open door and hold power button.
3. Connect power.
4. Close door, then release power button.
or Step 1: Manual Temporary
1. Turn off the printer. And disconnect the printer cable.
2. Press and hold the POWER button, turn on the printer.
3. The indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
4. Press and release the RESUME button , the indicator (L.E.D.) should be orange.
5. Press and release the RESUME button again, the indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
6. Release both buttons.
step 2 : Software for Permanant
1. Reconnect the printer cable.
2.Open General Tools software and select (USB PORT)
3 .Choose (SET DESTINATION 1) And it should be reset.
Remark "After service mode Pls use software for permanent reset"

1. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
2. release RESUME
3. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
4. Let green light blink until printer is done futzing
Select function with RESUME press POWER to execute:
presses - light color - function
Number of presses - light color - function
0 presses - green - Test print (or exit service mode on i960)
1 press - orange - EEPROM info print (plus grid nozzle diagnostic on i960)
2 presses - green - EEPROM initialize
3 presses - orange - Reset waste ink counter

3: Hold POWER and release RESUME
4: Press RESUME twice
5. Release Power button
6: When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME three(3) times. The indicator should be orange.
7: Press Power to set data

1: Remove Cartridge
2: Unplug the AC Power Cord
3: Hold down the RESUME button
4: Release RESUME after plugging in the AC Power cord.
5: Press the RESUME once within 5 seconds and release the RESUME .

7: Press and HOLD RESUME for two seconds or more and release it.
8: Unplug AC Power Cord to set data.

Turn off the printer.
Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button.
Release the RESUME button, then press and release the RESUME button two more times in succession. (youre still holding the POWER button during this). The printer mechanics will move momentarily.
You are now in Service mode.
Pressing the RESUME key will select a function; for example, pressing RESUME 4 times will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will alternate color with each key press.

5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

Turn off the printer.
Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button.
While still holding the POWER button, Release the RESUME button, then press and release the RESUME button two more times in succession.
The printer mechanics will move momentarily. You are now in Service mode. Release the Power Button.
Pressing the RESUME key will select a function; for example, pressing RESUME 4 times will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will alternate color with each key press.

Your printer should respond as normal.

Reset Waste Ink
1) Enter SERVICE MODE.
By pressing Menu Copy Scan Copy Copy
2) Select TEST MODE.
3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE.
4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].
5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].
6) Press the [Set] key.
7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key

sensor.
Finger Recognition Troubleshooting
If the sensor is having difficulty acquiring an image of your
finger,read the following
The sensor window may need cleaning,,as described in
“Cleaning the Sensor.
You may not be touching the sensor correctly..In order for
the sensor to acquire a good image of your finger,you must
place the pad of your finger —not the tip —in the center of
the oval window,and apply gentle,even pressure.Do not
“roll ”your finger.Pressing too hard will distort your finger-
print.Pressing too lightly will not expose a large enough area
of your finger.
Also,make sure to hold your finger on the sensor until you
see the sensor light blink;this may take longer for dry fingers.
Then,lift your finger.Although you may use any finger with
the sensor,your index finger of either hand works best.
If the sensor is capturing your finger image ((as indicated
by the sensor blink)and you have tried all the above sugges-
tions,you may need to reregister your finger.
Sensor Troubleshooting
There are a few known sensor issues
If you activate your PC power saver function —but a third-
party component installed in the PC does not support
it —the PC will not go into sleep mode but the sensor will.To
reactivate the sensor,unplug it from the USB port and then
plug it in again.
If the sensor does not light up when you plug it in,,try
unplugging it and then plugging it in again.Also,make sure
it is plugged in to a self-powered USB port.
Cleaning the Sensor
Depending on the amount of use,the sensor window may need
to be cleaned periodically.
To clean it,apply the sticky side of a piece of adhesive cel-
lophane tape on the window and peel it away.
Under heavy usage,the window coating on some sensors may
turn cloudy from the salt in perspiration.In this case,gently
wipe the window with a cloth (not paper)dampened with a
mild ammonia-based glass cleaner.
Sensor Maintenance Warnings
There are several things you should never do when cleaning or
using the sensor
Do not pour the glass cleaner directly on the sensor window..
Do not use alcohol--based cleaners.
Never submerge the sensor in liquid..
Never rub the window with an abrasive material,,including
paper.
Do not poke the window coating with your fingernail or any
item,such as a pen.

Some bugs. I encountered it too. Me times di ako makapag reply sa forum. I viewed the thread but can't reply to the topic created. I can't input letters. Minsan naman blank page or exceeeded bandwidth usage so I got an error page returned.

regarding sa tanong mo..

Ang DUAL CORE is simply a "generic brand", meaning kung gamot "paracetamol" sya. Kapag may "paracetamol" (generic) meaning merong mga manufacturer na gumagawa ng iba't ibang "tatak" para sa paracetamol (biogesic, medicol, etc.) ganun din sa Dual Core, meron products na Pentium D, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo and Athlon X2 - all belonging to Dual Core category. What is Dual Core? it is simply a "processor packaged with two (2) physical CPUs in one.

The Core Duo is Intel's first generation dual core processor based upon the Pentium M (a Pentium III-4 hybrid) made mostly for laptops (though a few motherboard manufacturers have released desktop boards supporting the Core Duo CPU), and is much more efficiently than Pentium D.

The Core 2 Duo is Intel's second generation (kaya tinawag na Core 2) processor made for desktops and laptops designed from the ground up to be fast while not consuming nearly as much power as previous CPUs.

Core 2 Duo simply means a Dual Core second generation.

Post ka naman here how to properly paint yung Computer Casing. Like Step by step procedure and materials to use. Tuwi kasi ako nag p-paint laging nag crack yung sa plastic pag tumatagal.

Oo yan nga gamit ko. Nag spray naman ako ng plastic primer bago ko gamitin over sa plastic yung Pylox but still nag crack pa rin pag tumagal

hindi po kase talaga advisable ang pylox sa casing kase ang default paint na nakapaint sa mga case is powdercoat, or ang ibang ways na pweede mo gawin is dapat lihain mo yung part na ipapaint mo then primer,then pylox at clearcoat..then patuyuin sa araw..pero pinaka the best talaga na gawin is use Anzahl Paints like i used on my case,yun yung paint na ginagamit sa mga cars lalo na sa carshows...Glossy sya pero talagang walang bakbak..yung papowdercoat rin ok kaso may kamahalan nga lang..:)

Actually nag liha na rin ako tapos primer, tapos banat ng paint then clear coat. Binilad ko na rin sa araw ng whole day, pero useless... pag tumagal crack pa rin. Siguro tama ka! Try ko na lang Anzahl. Meron ba Anzahl na spray paint?

PROBLEM: Windows cannot detect my Flash Drive / USB drive

Since floppy disks have become obsolete, most of us nowadays are using Flash Drives or USB drives to save files. Not only are they handy but are also capable of storing huge amount of files. However, there are times that when you plug in your Flash drive or USB drive, Windows cannot read or detect it. Here are just some troubleshooting suggestions.

1. The first thing you need to do is go to control panel->system->Hardware->device manager tab. Scroll down to the Universal Serial Bus controllers and check if your flash disk is recognized. Your Flash disk is recognized if the USB Mass Storage Device or the brand name of your flash disk appears when you collapse the arrow beside Universal Serial Bus controllers.
2. If there’s a Question mark beside the USB Mass storage device, this means that your flash disk needs a driver or you haven’t installed the USB drivers of your mother board. Google for the compatible drivers of your USB device and install.
3. If an X appears beside the USB Mass Storage device / brand name, it means that your device is disabled. Right click the USB Mass Storage device / brand name and select properties. Click the drop down menu on Device usage and select enable or “use this device”.
4. If there’s an exclamation beside the USB Mass Storage device, this means that Windows had trouble installing the flash disk because it is damaged. Right click on the properties and check the device status to check the problem. Alternatively, go to the details tab and check the device instance ID and hardware IDs. You will usually see a series of numbers and letters but if you just see all zero numbers, your flash disk is definitely defective and you should return it to the store you bought it from.
5. If everything seems to be working but you just can’t see the drive path on My Computer, check and see if other drives are using the drive letter F, G, etc. If this is the case then go to Control panel->administrative tools->Computer management. Collapse “storage” and select “Disk Management”. On the right side of the screen, search for the removable disk. Right click on the removable disk button and select “change drive letter and paths”. Press the change button and assign a drive letter which is not in use. Again, check the My Computer for the drive letters which are in use by your PC. Press okay until you return to the computer management screen.
