Has anyone experienced a denied warranty claim from Chevrolet? We are under stress knowing that our warranty claim for our ABS is in question for like a month na since it was diagnosed to be needing replacement. Pabalik balik ung pag-ilaw ng ABS for a couple of months, nire-reset lang nila ung sensor but then babalik din after ilang oras. Until they told us (after so many months) na kailangan na pala ireplace. ABS costs around P81,000, it's for a chevrolet captiva. The problem is, hindi na daw covered ng warranty ung car. The heck! Bought it Dec 2008. It is only Sept (this year) when it was diagnosed as such! We are consistent in having the car serviced sa casa, everything. It was never taken to other shops. I have been making follow-ups regarding the approval of our warranty for the ABS replacement, but all i receive as a response is that they will call me tomorrow because it was still being discussed- for like the nth time!

Ano po ba ang gagawin namin as next step as I'm hopeless in receiving any feedback from them anytime soon. Malapit na ang December and mag end na ang warranty namin that month. Should I take it to the next level? Who should I talk to? GM? Manager? Lawyer?

I want your opinions, but let's be just and fair as a consumer.

It is common experience to be treated like this in the local casa. You may want to have your brakes checked by a specialist first before returning it to the casa. Chances are the casa mechanics do not know what to do and forcing them to repair this may create more headaches for you.

I know somebody with a similar problem that affected their Ford Explorer years ago. It was bought brand new yet the abs warning light and buzzer turns on unexpectedly. On a few occasions, the service warranty towed their car to give the impression of personal service yet the problem was never really solved.

You know what they did? Eventually, the annoying warning light and buzzer were disabled.

I suggest you have your car checked with a real brake specialist. The casa may not know how to handle your problem. Making them replace the whole brake system is not the solution. For all you know, it is just the adjustment of some spring or clean up of contacts or the sensors mounts need tightening. Unless you are experiencing failing brakes or stuck wheels, then for all practical reasons, your vehicle is still roadworthy despite the annoyance.
