But really, its a serious issue, here:
2011 HIV Fast Facts in the Philippines (Source: DOH NEC HIV AIDS Registry...) DoH HIV monthly statistics: http://www.doh.gov.ph/node/2598/ Out of 63 countries reporting data to the 2010 UNAIDS Global Report, the Philippines is one of seven countries with increasing HIV cases together with Armenia, Bangladesh, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. All other countries report stable or decreasing infection rates. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection rates in the Philippines have increased nearly five-fold between 2007 and 2010, from 342 newly reported infections in 2007 to 1,591 in 2010. Newly reported infections among young people 15 to 24 years of age, however, increased 10-fold over the same period (from 41 in 2007 to 489 in 2010). Currently, about a third of all new infections occur in young people aged 15-24 years of age. Half of the population in the country is younger than 21 years and at least 6.3% of teenagers (15-19 years old) have already begun child bearing. Overall prevalence of pre-marital sexual activity increased from 18 percent to 23 percent between 1994 and 2002.
The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) hit a record high of eight Filipinos daily in September this year 2011 253 new HIV cases were diagnosed nationwide in September, higher by 65 percent compared to the 153 detected in the same month last year. Citing National Epidemiology Center (NEC) data, 240 of the new cases in September were males, while 13 were females. Their median age was 27 years. Those in the 20 to 29 age group comprised 57 percent of the cases. 53 percent (or 135) of the new infections were reported in Metro Manila. The new cases included 16 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) 11 males and five females.
Wow.. and yet tama ka sis d masyadong nabibigyan ng pansin. |

Message appended on January 23, 2012 03:02PM condoms condoms and more condoms ano ba yan...!!!! hahahaha!!! ok na sana akala ko fidelity ang pinopromote mo dyan... sayang. I tried using 3 condoms at the same time. It hurts. Like having penis cramps. I was once assigne to North Africa. Travelled between Egytp to Sudan for 4 months. When I went back to base in Saudi - because I made a side tripe to Kenya.....I was sent for some heavy duty medical. I then found out it was for AIDS. Apparently I was standard procedure to have us checked for HIV/AIDS among other diseases if we've gone to those places. I had to admit I hade a peice of pink pie when I was in both Egypt and Kenya. I was curious about the dark skinned girls. Well I came out positively negative with HIV/AIDS and other venereal diseases. It made me enormously happy that I ended up sleeping with the nurse in King Khaled Military Hospital. |
