Update as of 7:55pm (Saturday, February 11)
Transfering millions of images to the new system is still ongoing. As it turns out, copying will take time and our estimate is that it will last until Sunday, February 12. In this regard, we are expecting the system to be completely operational by Monday, February 13. Again, thank you for your understanding.
Update as of 9:10am (Saturday, February 11)
Copying of existing image files are taking longer than expected. We are looking for other alternatives as we move Terabytes of data from the old disks to the new ones. Kindly bear with us. Thank you.
Update as of 8:08pm (Friday, February 10)
We have a good news and a bad news.
Good news is that we have finally identified the cause of the problem. Our current hard disk drives are no longer fast enough to handle the traffic of the website that is continuously growing. We have to order new sets of top-of-the line hard disks that has the speed and the capacity to support our ever growing community.
Bad news is that our data center will require a few hours to install these new set of hard drives and for us to transfer the existing images in the system. During this time, image upload will still be unavailable.
Again, we are doing our very best to bring the system back to normal. And thanks for your understanding.
Update as of 11:30am (Friday, February 10)
The issues that had been occurring yesterday have resurfaced as of this morning. While we explore all of the possible causes of these issues and all of the corresponding solutions, you may experience intermittent errors while uploading images. Some users may also experience occasional instances of our Maintenance Page on random pages. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope to finally put these issues behind us soon.
Update as of 2:35am (Friday, February 10)
We currently implemented a temporary fix to solve the issue. The domain for our static files are currently not resolving properly in some location that caused the problem. We are trying to figure out why this has happened. While we are figuring out a permanent fix, you can now upload images to your advertisements.
We apologize for the hassle brought about by this weird behavior of our domain.
Update as of 3:45pm (Thursday, February 9):
You may still experience occasional problems with the upload of images. This may affect the creation and updating of ads if it involves uploading new images or removing images from your ad. Rest assured that we are continuously monitoring the situation and hope to definitively resolve the problem soon.
Update as of 3:00pm (Thursday, February 9):
A temporary fix has been deployed; image uploads should now be working normally. We will continue to work on the problem so we can come to a permanent solution.
We are currently experiencing intermittent network issues on our static files server that is affecting the upload and display of images.
New classified ads images, including those attached to newly-posted classifieds ads, that are uploaded this morning may not upload or display successfully and will have to be re-uploaded as soon as we are able to fix the problem.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are actively coordinating with our hosting partner and doing our best to mitigate the problem. We will keep you posted with any updates on new developments.
Thanks for hanging in there and understanding.
