5 RULES TO HELP YOU SURVIVE CITY NIGHTLIFE

You want to drink alcohol…You want to listen to music…You want to be with friends… You want to get LAID! The only way to go after all these things is to experience the nightlife.

1. Live in the Middle – Don’t be the drunkest or most sober guy entering the bar, or the drunkest or most sober guy leaving the bar. Being the drunkest guy entering the bar, is going to lead to you being the guy who pukes in the bar and the guy who wakes up the next morning feeling like he was run over by a truck. Live in the middle, have a few drinks, get a good buzz on and enjoy the night. The most successful nights (that you remember) come from nights where you live in the middle, living on the edge will get you hungover, living 100 feet from the cliff will never get you laid. So live in the space where you aren’t afraid to dance, but you can still make coherent sentences.

2. Call it a Night – To quote How I Met Your Mother, ”Nothing Good Happens after 2 am.” As soon as the girls start to leave the club, it’s time for you to leave the club. There is nothing worse than a drunk sausage fest. The amount of fights that happen in club district skyrockets after all the females leave the area. If you don’t end up getting in a scrap then you can count on yourself to stay up until 4 am eating McDonalds.

3. Know Where You’re Sleeping – If you don’t live downtown, make arrangements to sleep at someones house in the area. Make these plans before you get intoxicated! There is nothing like trying to find a place to stay at the end of the night. It will lead to you sleeping on someones floor with your shirt as your pillow and your jacket as your blanket.

4. Be Ready – Yes one night stands don’t happen every week, but they do happen. Carry 2 condoms when you go to the bar (1 may break, and if you carry more it’s weird). Just be prepared.

5. Shit Happens – Some of your best memories from partying come from both the ridiculously bad and ridiculously good stories. If you wake up in a bush 3 hours after last call, it may suck at the time, but, I guarantee you and your buddies will laugh for weeks about it. Some minor problems may occur aswell, someone may lose a phone, id, or get a drink spilled on them. You can’t change what has happened so enjoy the rest of your night and deal with it tomorrow.
