| Hindi kayo dapat ma-mislead: yung ford ranger ay gumagamit ng mazda engine na nilagyan lang ng ford label at yun namang toyota hilux ay siyempre toyota engine ang gamit. |

| I drove the hilux before and was dissapointed coz its lack of power. Since ito lang dalawa ang pinagpipilian mo, i rather go to Ford Ranger. LAst time i was torn between NAvarra and Strada.... and get the latter. No Regrets. Maybe you want to include in the selection the new Chevy colorado. http://chevy.com.ph/newsrelease/features/151-chevrolet-philippines-rolls-out-the-chevrolet-colorado View message logs toinktoink: updated on August 6, 2012 05:32PM |

| the reason why the Ford Ranger is using a Mazda engine is because Ford owns Mazda. If you're looking for a 2012 pick-up truck I'd suggest getting the new Ford Ranger. It's bigger, more powerful and better looking than the aging hilux eventhough the hilux has a "new" vgt engine it's still underpowered compared to a 200ps Ford Ranger. Yes, 200ps! 144ps 343nm from the VNT 2.5L 2KD-FTV engine of the old fortuner and hilux G model(this is the engine they will sell wala pa announcement if they'll bring the 3.0L vs. the base model new Ranger 2.2-liter DuraTorq TDCi,150 ps, 375 Nm. Yung 3.2L diesel ng Ranger yung pumapalo ng 200ps. |

| Ford Ranger is a new stallion in town, get the blue one, lumaki siya at naging balky, yung hilux lumiit yung body niya, just like the Strada L200 before, parang old school type... |

| I'm using ford ranger since 2008 nasubukan ko na rin sya sa baha. some of my colleagues were using other pickups. My ford survived after the flood. I experienced passing through high water level that almost went over the hood. check the video in the link below http://www.ford.com.ph/trucks-and-vans/all-new-ranger# |

| a couple of things I disliked bout the 4X2 ranger... 1) it's only a front wheel drive(no 4WD). A TRUE pick-up has to have a 4wd option. 2) rear drum brakes. This is soo jeepney. That's why it's so dangerous to wade in deep water eventhough may ground clearance ka kasi pag pinasukan na ng tubig yung drum mo, goodluck!
Yep, saw that video before. I also did that on my old sorento, napatulog ako sa Navotas.. sa tabi mismo ng dike. Pagka gising ko red cross na pala ang kumakatok saken baka na stranded daw ako? The water was higher nasa above fender na siya ng sorento ko pero no broblem I waded through almost a km dun sa gilid ng breakwater ng Navotas. That was Oct 2010 if I remember? Lampas lang doon sa may bus terminal. |

| kung sa patagalan sino ba ang mas tatagal sa dalawang ito? ayoko naman na at first mas maganda tapos in the long run pala mas tatagal itong isa. good question. Now, here's a history of what we know about the hilux engine that's fitted with a VGT. We know it's still the same engine, you know.. the same engine that had a lotta problems years back, ayaw umandar kasi "dirty fuel" daw? Now, it's fitted with a VGT system. Will that stop the engine from clanking out due to "drity fuel"??? Only time will tell. Ford came in w/ a new engine and a new VGT to boot. Still has to be tried and tested on our roads. In a nutshell, we have Toyota's notorious 2.5L engine and Ford's untested engine. |

| Never go for an american car nowadays. Sobrang baba ng resale value pagkalabas ng casa 50% deprecited kagad sunog lang pera mo. Napakamahal ng spare parts and mahirap mkakuha dali pa masira. Ford pull out their factory here in the philippines LUGI na kase. Always consider japanese cars. Toyota is STILL NO.1! |

Ford pull out their factory here in the philippines LUGI na kase. Always consider japanese cars. Toyota is STILL NO.1! hahaha... ano po comment yan?? Btw, food for thought. Just because the brand is from one country doesn't mean it's being produced there. So you said na "always consider japanese cars" ok.. another food for thought... Ford Ranger is produced in Thailand. Also, the MAZDA BT-50 pickup(the twin of the Ford Ranger) is a japanese vehicle, right? But why do they have the same engine, chassis, drivetrain? So in sense of analogy this japanese vehicle is "inferior" too? Do you know that Ford owns Mazda? And yet ang taas ng puri nyo sa ganda ng itsura ng mazda? 1 member thinks this post is SULIT! milwaukee |

| If you really intend to use it as a pick-up, pang off road, pang buhat, pang harabas, pang porma, at spacious cab na may magandang accessories. gusto ko makita yung new features ng rear view mirror nya, I'd prefer Ford ranger 2012 wrecker. I already have 2008 ford ranger and I thought of looking for a new replacement (we replace our units every 3-5 years), I also looked at otrher pickup's and chevy colorado came in as second best for me (diko lang sure ang after sales service like availability and cost of parts) and nissan navarra and izuzu boondock tied at third. I still have until end of September to decide. 1 member thinks this post is SULIT! milwaukee |
