Sulit.com.ph Forum Ranking is Back
There's not much incentive to participating in the forum, even less in keeping track of posting counts, when there is no longer any reward for doing so. =(

Common Errors in English Usage and Grammar
bluethunder posted on December 11, 2011 03:28PM Here's another one: "Offer good until supplies last." The correct phrase is "Offer good while supplies last." These are my contributions for now. I'll be back to post some more when I can. Cheers! We've been seeing that all the time...

Why do Brits and especially Aussies pronounce Rs at the end of words that end in vowels, and hardly pronounce (or drop entirely) Rs in words that end with R?

That is an excerpt from an essay/article written by Richard Lederer. I remember first reading that in college and to this day, the idiosyncrasies of the English language continue to amaze me.

Using 'ONLY' The placement of the word ONLY is very important. Misplacing it can change the meaning of a sentence. For example, I hear this on TV a lot: "This is the news that she ONLY told us!" (WRONG) This sentence says that she only told it to them. She didn't...

That's a good suggestion. Maybe DaddyJ we can go back to the format you used when you started the thread? He used to give us a quiz and we would post our answers and could even explain why, then he would discuss the right answers with us.

Maglalabas ka ng kotse sa mlm mo;Ano mas maganda automatic o manual?
Automatic: easier to use, potentially more people will be able to drive it. Manual: better control of the car and better mileage. For me, manual is better because I save money on gas.

kumakain ka ba ng ASO?
It's not a shameful thing to eat dogs if you like that sort of thing. After all, dogs, cows, and pigs are all mammals. If you eat one, why not eat another? But personally I don't eat dogs because since childhood I've had dogs as pets. They feel like part of the family. =)

10 pesos per hour!
Compute your monthly costs (electricity, wages, etc.) and see if it's feasible. (As in how many customer hours would you need to go beyond break even if you use P10 per hour.) Maybe you can do P20 per hour then do P10 for block time of 3 hrs or 6 hrs, or do a membership program where frequent...
